If you happen to be driving when you approach your gates, you don’t even have to get out of your car! In addition to being convenient, radio controls are also very straightforward since you don’t have to memorise any codes in order to operate them. If you just need an easy-to-use, efficient system for opening and closing your gate, you might want to opt for a radio control. However, radio controls aren’t the most secure option, since anyone can pick one up and use it. If more people than just you use your automated gates, you might need extra security, in which case you should consider another option.

Luckily, keypads are very secure. Because a keypad requires a code to open your gates, only those who know the code will be able to enter your property. You can also change the code whenever you need to. While they may not be as fast or convenient as radio controls, they will help protect your property. If you’re worried about intruders, it makes more sense to opt for a keypad.

Of course, you can always choose to combine the two options. You may wish to carry a single radio control so that you can easily gain access to your property but also equip the gate with a keypad.
