Aluminium Electric Gates
Why Choose Aluminium Electric Gates?
Aluminium electric gates are strong but light, and that matters once a motor is doing the work. A lighter gate puts less strain on the automation and runs more smoothly. The metal doesn’t rust, and it won’t rot, twist, split or warp the way timber can. That’s why our bespoke aluminium driveway gates need so little looking after.
Any of our aluminium gates can be powder-coated in whatever colour you choose, and it’s a long-lasting finish. Every installation also includes adjustable integral hinges. Posts and ground can move or settle over the years, and when they do, the hinges can be adjusted to bring the gate back into line.
Aluminium Driveway Gate Installation
An aluminium gate installation with us starts with a phone call or a visit. We’ll talk through what you need and what you’d like to spend, and it helps to show us any gates you’ve seen and liked. From there we put together handcrafted designs for your property, then survey the site before anything is made. We make aluminium driveway gates and garden gates, both swing and sliding, and our craftsmen build each one in our own workshop with materials from selected manufacturers. The coating we finish them with is hard-wearing and weather resistant, and it keeps the gate looking fresh after a wet winter.
When the gate is ready, we’ll book the installation for a day that suits you and keep disruption to a minimum. If an old gate needs to come out first, we remove it and fit the new aluminium gate in its place. Before we leave, we run the gate and check all the mechanics are working properly.
Benefits of Aluminium Gates
- Stands up to the weather. Aluminium doesn’t rust or corrode. Rain, damp and changes in temperature barely affect it, even after years outside, and the powder coating protects the colour from fading in the sun.
- Lots of colours and styles. An aluminium gate can look contemporary or traditional, and the colour and finish can be chosen to go with the house.
- Very little upkeep. Wood needs treating and iron needs repainting to keep rust away. Aluminium needs far less work than either to keep it looking right, and over the years that means lower maintenance costs. The motor and moving parts on any electric gate still need regular servicing, of course.
- Recyclable. Aluminium can be recycled, which makes it an environmentally friendly material for a gate.
- Secure. Security is part of the design of every gate we make, and each one has locking mechanisms to keep unwanted visitors off your drive.
Automatic Gates
Automation is included in our design package, so you won’t have to get out of the car to open the gate by hand. The system is simple to use with a remote control small enough to keep in your pocket, and it’s gentle on hinges, tracks and rollers. Swing and sliding gates each get a mechanism designed for the way they open. We also offer maintenance and repairs, so if your existing gates have an issue or a part needs replacing, we can help.
